I've just downloaded the game, activated my account and I'm ready and raring to go ...... but when I try to start the game I get "Failed to connect a upgrade information server !"
I have checked my firewall and it is not that that's the problem and I am wondering if anyone knows how to fix this.

the update server was down a couple days ago, it is fixed now... I don't think that this is an issue anymore... if it is, can you please post in here again

Hmm, im having the same problem
Pretty much just a bump for you and I, and some evidence.
lame, I cant post a link to the screenshot, anyways this is still happening to me, and im guessing you aswell.

I am not sure what is going on with the servers then... but, they are all coming down in tomorrow...

Still having the problem so it hasn't been resolved :(
I am perplexed as to what the problem may be but it'll hopefully be fixed after the server reset .... if anyone knows of anything to fix it feel free to give suggestions though ^^

I'm sorry. Hopefully, it will be fixed. The way it sounds, it seems like it has to do with your version or updates of the game. Run the launcher and maybe check and see the way you download the patches is correct. This may not help at all but it is worth a try.

At this point i'd recommend just waiting until open beta comes out. Hopefully that error should be fixed. Just an FYI, what operating system and what Browser do you use?

Hmm, there is something on the main site about Mozilla, but that may just be for logging in.
My advice would be just to wait and hopefully it will be fixed. If not, I would post on the Acclaim forums or send them and email.

Well I'm using the persistent worlds version of 9dragons and have posted on their forum and e-mailed them and still nothing on how to fix this problem, it's frustrating!
I have now managed to fix this problem, it seems that the persistent worlds updater uses internet explorer to connect to their servers and as I have recently installed IE7 and been having problems with it it means that 9dragons was having problems. To fix the problem I found out that having zonealarm installed at the time of installing IE7 causes IE7 not to work as it conflicts so you have to uninstall zonealarm before (or after) installing IE7 so that it can access the internet thus allowing 9dragons to connect to the servers.
Hope this helps other people with the same problem as me .... have fun playing ^^
