What do you think is most important attribute for a 9D character to have?

Speed or dexterity or Footwork
Strengh is nothing to a swordsmen if he cannot be surgical with his cuts (dexterity)
Endurance is nothing if you do not have economy of movement. (footwork)
Magical abilities well.... dont apply to swordsmen.

Speed.
If your dodge rate is high enough, you don't necessarily need endurance ;)

endurance is the most important. you need to be able to fight for extended periods of time non stop. with or without a party. a tanker is a must for all dungeon raids. you should be able to last at least 1 minute solo.
strength is 2nd most important. it doesnt matter if you can fight for 10 minutes if you can't deal enough damage to scratch the target.
magical abilities is 3rd. the magical abilities are there to enhance your other combat abilities. you will need them and they will be necessary when working in a team.
the least important is speed. if you rush too much and others fall behind, you could get screwed over when you realize its a 1 vs 10 and you die before back up arrives. a good team will be able to move quickly anyways with the support of team mates.

Endurance is what i was thinking except that i dont think a high magical ability will be important since if you are not fast enough to hit them, it really doesnt matter how strong your character is with the added attacks.

What good is strength if you cant hit anything. So Im going to say speed...granted that speed is dexterity.

well to me endurance is useless since i am a mage so it is better if i kill things before they get a chance to attack me.
-this poll should be base on a certain role so we dont all choose randomly
for my chars str and dex are 100% useless or maybe 1000%.
and wat do you mean by speed? the speed i att?
well i guess that is very important since if i cant attack then everything else is 10000% useless
or if you are talking about the speed i run. that is not very important at all.
STR for hybrids
STR for warriors
Ess for healers
Wis for nukers

well they all are important it really just depends on your class. but i believe something all classes can use is endurance to stay alive longer to help your team

personally i would say that endurance is most important but it does rely on everything else. i see it as a pirimid.

endurance is the base for all charachters then you can build all of your other skills from there depending on your class

If speed encompasses attack and movement speed, I'd vote for it (heck I already did)
Attack speed obviously helps, but what really counts is damage per attack X attack speed, so strength would definitely be a factor here too.
However, what really caused me to vote for speed is the fact that low speed characters would have a really tough time getting out of sticky situations. No matter how high you HP and defence are, you will succumb to a sufficiently large mob of monsters, and when you feel you're in a no-win situation you have to have speed to run away. :)
It also helps when you're training in an area and the uber-boss suddenly spawns and takes away half your life in just one hit. If you're halfway through a slow attack (or have a low movement speed), he'd get his next attack in and bye bye blood points.

Endurance for sure. You need endurance to be able face enemy, safer when facing stronger enemy. You dont need high HP with longer meditation if you can reduce the damage. Endurance certainly makes you more confident to face new strong enemy then dodge, cause strong enemy usually will hit you.
Strenght is the second, cause damage means faster killing. With strong endurance you may earn more experience by testing you strength to fight stronger enemy. Damage is necessary, but survival is most important cause risk of death is not so nice.

Speed is the most important. It's useless to have high damage if you swing a sword or draw a punch after the enemy hits you five times. In a mob fight, speed is of the essence, clearly. If blows are well placed, and at the exact time, they will deal damage, and also, dodging at the exact time is very important, like somebody already sayd, if you can dodge, you don't need endurance. :)

as a hybrid build designed for group support i would say a balance of all is good.

I think endurance is an important trait.. Strength, speed, and dex are not going matter if you can't go the distance..

I have no idea about how the game works at higher levels yet, but from the characters I've made so far, balance seems to be the best route. What exactly the best balance *is*, I'm not 100% positive on, but that being said I believe that it entirely depends on your character's theme..
Warriors need the typical strength/dex/con combo, in some ratio to each other, with just a little bit in essence.
Hybrids need strength/dex/con, with a bit more in essence...
and Nukers/Healers are, from what I understand, primarily best with essence/wisdom heavy builds.
But from my experience with warriors and hybrids, at least initially, no single stat is best. A pure strength build will just leave you annoyed because you miss so much, and a pure dex build will leave you annoyed because you lack the damage to really make that satisfying sort of impact.
Balance is golden :)

That question is too hard to answer because all of those factors can make up a great char depending on what role you use
i would go with strength and endurance coz im blood demon:D (i had to choose one so i put strength)

Note that the GC/RC level players say dex and speed and the FC level player says endurance and strength.

This thread is from pre-open beta and has no real relevance to game mechanics. Maybe it should be locked so it doesnt keep getting renewed?

Couldn't agree more... Dex is DEFINATELY the most important skill to swordsmen... I'm sick of people in game telling me to place more emphasis on str.

Ok..
This thread has been around for ages.. and I'm going to update my previous post.
If you're a healer, a hybrid, or a warrior, Strength is everything. You need to get it to 250 as fast as possible while still maintaining a playable character.
Not necessarily because of the damage, but because of the defense, and the plateau levels in that defense. You *really* want to get that 2000 def with elixirs, buffs, and relics. Trust me, it helps massively.
If you're a Nuker, you want Wisdom, and every scrap of +speed gear you can grab.
With a 250 STR, there's nothing in the game you need more than a 150 dex to hit. You *do*, especially as a warrior, need con, however.

Strength be far. Not for the damage, but for the defense. When you get hurt so little, you hardly need con. When you have very little con in the first place, and you're a healer, the heals are more effective in comparison with the same heal on a full con build.

str is ideal in grinding cause high def has a good use and, like i said in other posts, wats the point if u hit 3/3 at 300 while u could hit 1/3 at 1000...^_^
